The Uttar Pradesh State Election Commission was constituted by theState Government for the first time on April, 23, 1994. Thefunctioning of the Panchayat Raj Bodies is governed by two separateacts, one for Gram Panchayat and the other for the KshetraPanchayats and Zila Panchayats. Like rural local bodies, the urbanlocal bodies in the State are governed by two separate Acts, onegoverning the municipalities including Nagar Panchayats and theother for Municipal Corporations. State Election commission hasenvisioned facilitating their staffs and citizens by providing themdifferent level of IT services. Seeing the current statistics ofmobile users and their continuous growth in engagement with mobileapplications the proposed solution is drafted for state electioncommission mobile application for SEC, Uttar Pradesh.
